Shappy collects information you provide directly when creating an account or using our tools, including your name, email address, account tier preference (Free, Shappy Professional, or Shappy Business), saved watchlist items, price alert thresholds, and warranty/receipt records.

We also collect non-sensitive usage and routing telemetry—such as product search queries, coupon verification votes, outbound retailer click timestamps, and anonymous partner attribution tokens—to operate the platform. Shappy Rewards Points are credited strictly for eligible first-party platform engagement (such as daily check-ins, verifying promo codes, logging warranty receipts, and referring friends) and are never awarded for clicking Amazon Associates links or completing purchases on Amazon.com.

When you register for a Shappy account, you can choose whether to opt in to receive email communications about price drop alerts, warranty expiration reminders, and Shappy product updates.

To stop receiving promotional or alert emails after opting in, you may update your notification preferences inside your account at any time, click the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us directly at [email protected]. Essential transactional security and receipt emails may still be sent when required to operate your account.

When you upload or snap a photo of a store receipt or appliance serial plate using Shappy’s Snap-to-Vault OCR scanner, or when you explicitly choose to import an order into your Warranty Vault, Shappy extracts only the minimum product warranty fields needed to organize your coverage (retailer name, order reference, purchase date, product title, quantity, unit price, and model/serial number).

Street addresses, payment card details, and sensitive personal shipping information are automatically stripped and rejected before storage. Shappy does not sell receipt or warranty data to third-party data brokers, and you may view, export, or permanently delete your Warranty Vault records at any time.

Shappy earns from qualifying purchases as an Amazon Associate. Shappy is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (Associate Store ID shappy05-20) as well as affiliate programs administered through Impact.com, Walmart, Sovrn Commerce, and carrier referral partners.

When you click an outbound retailer link on Shappy, our partner retailers and affiliate networks may place a cookie or read an anonymous SubID parameter (ascsubtag / subId1) on your browser to attribute qualifying purchases to Shopping Happy LLC. In accordance with Amazon Associates Program policies, clicking an Amazon link or purchasing on Amazon.com never awards Shappy Rewards Points, rebates, or purchase incentives.

Shopping Happy LLC does not sell your personal information to advertisers. We share limited technical data only with infrastructure and service providers required to run the platform (such as Cloudflare for edge hosting/storage and Resend for transactional email delivery) or when required by law.

We maintain administrative, technical, and cryptographic safeguards—including salted password hashing, origin validation, and role-based tenant isolation on Shappy Business—to protect your data.

Regardless of where you live (including under CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and state privacy laws), you have the right to request a copy of the personal data stored in your Shappy account, export your Warranty Vault records, opt out of email communications, or request permanent deletion of your account.
